Terms of Service

DocLink Medical Last Updated: March 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using DocLink Medical ("the App," "the Platform"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must immediately stop using the App.

2. Description of Service

DocLink Medical is a technology platform that connects patients with independent healthcare providers, clinics, and laboratories for the purpose of scheduling medical appointments, managing health records, and facilitating clinic-patient communication.

3. Not a Medical Provider

4. Medical Emergencies

DO NOT use this Platform for medical emergencies. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, immediately call your local emergency services (e.g., 911, 112, or your local equivalent) or go to the nearest hospital emergency department. DocLink Medical is not designed for urgent or emergency medical situations.

5. User Accounts

a. Registration & Accuracy

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating an account, including your phone number, date of birth, and biological sex. You agree to update this information promptly if it changes.

b. Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your one-time password (OTP) login codes and for securing the device on which the App is installed. You agree to notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

c. Sub-Accounts

You may create sub-accounts for dependents (e.g., minor children, elderly family members) for whom you have legal authority to consent. You are fully responsible for all activity conducted through sub-accounts you create, including the accuracy of the information provided and all appointments booked on their behalf.

d. Passive Accounts

A healthcare provider may create a profile on your behalf using information you provide during an in-person visit. This "passive account" allows the provider to manage your appointment records within their clinic. You may later claim and take full control of a passive account by verifying your phone number.

6. Staff & Provider Accounts

a. Account Activation & Expiration

Staff and healthcare provider accounts are activated for a fixed subscription period of one (1) year plus a fourteen (14) day grace period from the date of activation. Staff members will receive an automated notification three (3) days before their account is scheduled for suspension, advising them to contact support for renewal.

b. Suspension & Renewal

Upon expiration of the subscription period, staff accounts will be automatically suspended. Suspended accounts may be reactivated upon renewal. During suspension, the staff member's profile may remain visible to patients, but the staff member will be unable to manage appointments or access patient data.

c. Staff Obligations

Staff and provider users agree to use the Platform in compliance with all applicable medical regulations, licensing requirements, and professional standards of conduct in their jurisdiction. Misuse of patient data or the Platform may result in immediate termination.

7. Appointments and Notifications

a. Booking

An appointment request submitted through the App is not finalized until it is explicitly "Confirmed" by the healthcare provider. Providers reserve the right to reject or cancel appointment requests based on their availability, clinical judgment, or internal policies.

b. Notifications & Announcements

We provide push notifications and in-app announcements as a convenience to inform you of appointment status updates, reminders, and administrative messages. We do not guarantee the delivery of these alerts, as they depend on third-party networks (Expo, Apple, Google), your device settings, and your internet connection. You are ultimately responsible for checking your appointment status within the App.

c. No-Shows & Cancellations

Healthcare providers on our Platform may establish and enforce their own policies regarding missed appointments, late arrivals, or late cancellations. DocLink Medical is not responsible for any fees or consequences arising from provider-specific policies.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

9. Intellectual Property

All content, design, trademarks, logos, and software associated with DocLink Medical are our exclusive property or the property of our licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on any part of the App without our prior written consent.

10. Camera & Device Permissions

The App may request access to your device's camera or photo library for the purpose of uploading profile pictures or medical documents. These permissions are entirely optional and are only used for the specific action you initiate. Denying these permissions will not affect core App functionality.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DocLink Medical, its founders, officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to:

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless DocLink Medical and its founders, officers, employees, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

14. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe:

You may also delete your own account at any time through the App's settings or by contacting support.

15. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and the laws of Iraq, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of the jurisdiction in which DocLink Medical is registered.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time by posting the updated version within the App. We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. Where material changes are made, we will notify you via an in-app announcement or push notification. Your continued use of the App after any modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
